STILLWATER COUNTY PLANNING BOARD
VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT

The Stillwater Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications from Stillwater County
residents willing to serve on the County Planning Board. Terms will be expiring for five of the
eleven members on the board. This Board comprises citizen representation county wide. The citizen
members of the county planning board shall be resident freeholders in the area over which the county
planning board has jurisdiction. Members serve two (2) year terms. The Planning Board reviews
proposed subdivisions and studies other planning issues. Members meet the first Wednesday of each
month at 7:00 P.M. and occasionally attend public hearings. Interested persons can obtain an
application at www.stillwater.mt.gov or call 322-8010. Applications will be accepted until 4:00 P.M.

The Stillwater Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications for two (2) positions on
the City-County Planning Board. The first position requires the Commissioners select an applicant
residing outside the incorporated city limits of Columbus, but within the boundary area of the City-
County Planning Board that is bound by Interstate 90, Yellowstone River, Rapelje Road and the east
end of the Columbus Airport. The second position requires the Commissioners select an applicant
residing in the Town of Columbus. These are two (2) year terms. The City-County Planning
Board reviews proposed subdivisions and studies other planning issues. Members meet the forth
Tuesday of each month at 5:30 P.M. and occasionally attend public hearings. The members of the
city-county planning board shall be resident freeholders in the area over which the city- county
planning board has jurisdiction. Interested persons can obtain an application at

WEED MANAGEMENT DISTRICT BOARD

The Stillwater Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications from Stillwater County
residents willing to serve on the County Weed Board. This Board is comprised of representation
county-wide and members serve three (3) year terms. Board members administer the district’s
noxious weed management program; establish management criteria for noxious weeds on all land
within the district; and make all reasonable efforts to develop and implement a noxious weed
management program covering all land within Stillwater County. Interested persons please call
the Commissioners’ office for an application at 322-8010 or address all requests to P.O. Box 970,
